spring! busy!

oh my goodness, I feel like I've been so busy... the farmer's markets are open, or opening this weekend (calling out Wicker Park farmer's market for opening so much later than the neighboring Logan Square farmer's market), my vegetables and herbs and flowers are either growing, blooming, or in a few rare instances (radishes, lettuce), producing. the bees are bringing in pollen, the worms are eating feasts of egg shells and potato shavings, I have more kombucha scobys than I know what to do with, not to mention a variety of brews in the fridge (coffee kombucha, blueberry and cinnamon, blackberry and mint, ginger and lemon, strawberry), I've started making moonshine, wine, and jam from the leftover fruits of both of those, and I managed to over-dehydrate a pretty significant amount of apricots, but they're still edible.

roommates are moving in, moving out, and lolly-gagging about which they're doing, we've got two dogs and four cats roaming the wood floors. I'm going back to Wisconsin for Eaux Claires festival in just over two weeks. I've obtained more instruments, the latest of which is a mandolin! I recorded an EP, and made a visual video to go along with it.

on Sunday, I completed my first hive inspection (looks good), and found the queen -- she's huge, and gorgeous, and I adore her.

so yeah... that's what's going on, and because I'm busy, I'm also tired. so I'm going to go to bed, but pictures of all of these things will follow.
